Advent – a celebration of Christmas
Uncategorized
Its a busy season for everyone at Eyam – both in the community and at school (as well as at home of course!).
We always kick start the run up to Christmas with a decoration day where the community are invited in to get sticky and help make decorations – its a lovely atmosphere helped by mince pies at playtime.
The choir and quartet made a wonderful addition to Community Christmas luncheon at the Church Centre.
Soup and a chat was popular as ever with Squirrel children making home made soup and inviting friends to lunch and a quiz. Delicious soup thanks to a lot of chopping!
We enjoyed celebrating advent together in Church with friends and family as well as our special Infant Nativity which is always a highpoint in the year.
We took part in the Community Carol Service
Almost the end of term but what a celebration of skill and confidence as so many children performed at the end of year concert – a wonderful afternoon.
