A chilly challenge

Uncategorized

Mrs Gaywood managed to fit in a water polo session as part of our swimming programme this Autumn.

She borrowed all the right kit and so we were easily able to see who was in each team. The children learnt some skills such as throwing with one hand, treading water, looking ahead and communicating as well as how to score! It was certainly chilly but as you have to paddle hard the children remained warm. They we keen to have another session and have been invited to the water polo session at Abbey dale road club.

Did you know the balls were weighted and so are quite heavy to throw?

This was an afternoon of grit and determination! Thank you to Mrs Gaywood.
